Family Portraits

Few weeks ago I looked after my nephew and he loves cars.

Locally to me in Apsley, Hertfordshire A1 Stretch Limos operate so I took him over to see the Limos they have, The Hummer was his favourite.

Whilst I was there I decided to take a few pictures of him in front of the limo. I decided to give it a bit of a transformers look.

If you would like and Family Portraits done in the Hemel Hempstead, Watford Area please feel free to check out my website.

A little something about Hemel Hempstead

History of Hemel Hempstead

The High Street has a community atmosphere and is a unique shopping experience featuring many speciality shops and services. Visitors and can soak up the Victorian, Georgian and Tudor architecture in a street described as “the prettiest street in Hertfordshire”.

The Old Town of Hemel Hempstead boasts a diverse selection of specialist shops including fine art, antiques, gentleman’s outfitters, dolls houses, quality giftware, furniture, Christian book shop, angling supplies, soft furnishing, bicycles, estate agents and hair and beauty salons.

You can also drink in the atmosphere of the Old Town in any of the period pubs and enjoy the varied menus that cater for all palates in the numerous restaurants, bistros and cafes along the High Street.

The town of Hemel Hempstead has much to offer its many visitors and is a great family friendly place to shop. The town centre has all the major High Street stores you'd expect of a busy modern town as well as a Debenhams Department Store.

At the end of the Marlowes, just past Marks & Spencer, you can walk straight through into Riverside, the new shopping development with Debenhams and many other new stores. Road access can be gained via The Plough (‘Magic’) Roundabout to the Riverside 350 space car park.

Hemel's outdoor market is located in the centre of the Marlowes, along the pedestrianised area. For fruit & veg, clothes and household goods, the general market is on Thursdays and Saturdays. Alternatively, Wednesday's antiques market is always popular with those in search of a bargain.

Ten Top Modelling Tips

1. Make sure your on time, if you cannot, be let the Photographer or agency know. Punctuality is very important."safety tip": If you are not taking anyone with you to the shoot, let someone know where you are and with whom.

2. Always go prepared :- ie clothing changes, don't always think that they will have everything that is needed for the shoot.

3. Always take your own make-up, even if they has told you there will be a make-up artist there. Always think of the could be's.

4. Get references, as many as you can. That would include other models and/or assignments that the photographer has had. Check and double check be sure that a legitimate photographer is doing the same with you. Never take anything for granted.

5. Get phone numbers and addresses if possible, if they are hesitant. You might want to rethink.

6. Make sure that you know exactly what the shoot consists of never feel pressured to do anything that you feel uncomfortable doing.

7. Always take along enough "cash" for cab fare etc. In case the photographer cannot provide adequate transportation. Most will!

8. Keep in mind that modelling is a business, not a personal venture. You need to be prepared to negotiate with prospective employers, regarding everything from pay to content. Don't just drop out of contact because you don't like what's offered - either negotiate or say, "Thanks, but no thanks." You never know, the employer you turn down could well have your dream job later - and if you treat him or her rudely or with disrespect, you'll likely miss out.

9. Don't ever do anything that you might regret later. What you do today can affect your career later down the road. "If you pose for a photo that you cannot show your family and friends, and be proud of it, it wasn't worth doing".

10. If you have a verbal or signed agreement on travelling expenses etc, make sure that it is followed up on.
